Jordan & Nicole Hice

Their story

Pastor Jordan Hice was born and raised in South Florida, and at age twenty had a life-changing encounter with the Lord. There is a legacy of ministry in his family — his great-grandparents started a church and school in Savannah, Georgia, and were his first exposure to Christianity as a child. In February 2009, at a retreat in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Jordan was filled with the Holy Ghost and began speaking in tongues, an encounter that radically changed his life and set him on the path to full-time ministry. That same year, he moved to Tampa to attend River Bible Institute in response to God’s call on his life.

Nicole was introduced to The River through Jordan and became part of the ministry starting with RBI. Together, Jordan and Nicole now serve as the Children’s Pastors of The River Church, caring for children from nursery through age 12 and believing every child can be used by God right now.

Jordan has served as Children’s Pastor for the past ten years. Jordan and Nicole developed the ARISE Discipleship program for children ages 11–12, oversee a yearly Bible Reading Plan program, and have helped plan and lead Kids Fire Week since it began. They train children to become soul winners themselves, with a heart to see children know Jesus personally, know His Word, recognize the voice of the Holy Spirit, and understand that they can be used by God right now.

Since 2016, more than 50,000 souls have come into the Kingdom through the Children’s Ministry Jordan and Nicole lead together, alongside water baptisms, baptisms in the Holy Ghost, and healings.
