Allen & Kristin Hawes

Their story

Pastors Allen and Kristin Hawes have faithfully served at The River at Tampa Bay Church for more than two decades. Allen came to The River in 2003 as a student at the River Bible Institute, followed by Kristin in 2004.

Both served in various areas of the ministry under Pastors Rodney and Adonica Howard-Browne. Kristin joined the staff in 2005 overseeing the Hospitality Department, and Allen joined the pastoral staff after graduating from RBI in 2006, and holds a Doctorate of Theology. They were married in June 2005 and have two daughters, Madison and Brooklyn.

At the beginning of 2007, Allen and Kristin became the Youth Pastors of The River, later expanding their ministry to include young adults. Since 2006, they have also served as instructors at River University, helping train and equip students for ministry and leadership.

Since 2010, together with their team and hundreds of faithful teens and young adults, they have seen more than 300,000 students reached with the Gospel. Each week, as many as 1,500 teenagers are discipled through ministry taking place on public high school campuses throughout Hillsborough County and the Central Florida region.
